Biography

Jessy Jenkins, PFS’s Greenland Science Support Manager, spent 11 years working fort the US Antarctic Program before moving to Arctic support in 2014.  Her role in NSF’s Arctic Research Support and Logistics program (ARSL) includes; science project planning, oversight of operations at all NSF Greenland research hubs (Kangerlussuaq, Summit Station, Raven, and Thule Air Base), active role in staff and researcher risk management program, close coordination with the 109th ANG unit for planning and tracking of Greenland airlift, support for media and DV groups, and all the nuts and bolts from helping researchers pick the best tent for use on the Greenland ice sheet to chartering helicopters.
On a personal note, Jessy has spent time in field camps all over Antarctica and in Greenland. She is proud to say that she is literally bipolar!
