Biography

Nathan Lamie serves as an electronics engineer in the Engineering Resources Branch and supports a number of research projects across the many technical fields at CRREL. He conducts basic and applied research studies focusing on electromagnetic wave propagation and ground penetrating radar techniques. Specific areas of study include electromagnetic detection of munitions; infrared spectroscopy of vegetation in remote areas; and subsurface feature analysis of soils, snow and lake beds utilizing ground penetrating radar. Mr. Lamie conducts oil spill response and mitigation research with a variety of University, Oil and Gas Industry and Federal partners. He facilitates the execution of a number of research projects that utilize the unique cold environment facility capabilities at CRREL.
