Biography

Daniel Watkins is a PhD candidate in Ocean Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Oregon State University. His research focuses on the relationship between atmosphere and sea ice in the Arctic climate system. Recently, he participated in the Multidisciplinary drifting Observatory for the Study of Arctic Climate (aka MOSAiC), an international Arctic expedition centered around a ship anchored to the sea ice. He is a Science Communication Fellow at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry as well as a contributor to Science Journal for Kids and Teens.
